Michael Ong is a filmmaker that works with Digital Video, 16 mm and Super 8 mm motion picture film. He works as a freelance creative generalist in the San Francisco Bay Area, with services includes video editing, motion graphics, sound design as well as being a plain old film crew. He has a BFA in Film from San Francisco Art Institute. If time allows, he works on his own personal works which through the liminal difference between the dream and consciousness. Where he delved the psych of the human brain, the innocuous way of defying logic, in search for the spirituality and re-enchantment in the world of rationality. Joel studies for his BFA in Film at San Francisco Art Institute. He was the assistant editor in Jennifer Kroot's film "To Be Takei". He edits films, makes his own films, helps with all levels of film production. We are hoping to clone Joel because everybody needs a Joel in their film crew!
Paul is a musician/composer passionate about traditional music and instruments of the world, with an emphasis on Turkish, Medieval European, Chinese, Japanese, Mediterranean and ancient music. Paul has performed on gothic harp, kaval, say, hey, banjo, flute, piano, guitar, dizzy, shakukhachi, and accerdéon for his groups Kyklo, Summer Thunder Chinese Music Ensemble, Seyyah, Zambia, Okiraku, and Theatrum Orbis Terrarum ( Theatre 3), served for 5 years as Music Director for the Rouge Theatre and as a guest artist with Musica Sonora, The Arizona Early Music Society and Odaiko Sonora. He composes music for our films.
Michael is a Tucson born Arizona native. He studied Environmental Biology at the University of Arizona. He lived in Los Angeles for a while as he pursued his passion: music. Michael has many interests and influences. These days he is fascinated with Avant Garde music and experimenting with it modern composition. Michael is inspired by his love for nature and creative process. He is our production assistant.
